the british are coming!

Three British artists you had better know:

Adele - she usually sings ballads, but this particular track has been getting remixed right and left, check out Dan Clare's take below

Mika - his songs are fun and catchy, and completely off the wall
Big Girls - Mika

Ellie Goulding - if you've been living under a rock for the past year, crawl out and get some Ellie in your system.  Her smooth voice over electro-pop beats are perfection.  This song has been getting a ton of playback on my end so enjoy:

can't behave

Deadmau5 randomly dropped this electropop track a bit ago.  It's way different from the stuff on his album, which is a good thing.   Take a listen!

happy holidays

As a Christmas fanatic I try my best to regulate the amount of Christmas music I listen to so I don't burn out before the actual day.  These two tracks I can listen to over and over.  I love the classic Bing Crosby/Nat King Cole genre of holiday music and these two tracks embody that with a modern twist.  They're obviously reworked but it's not obnoxious.  These songs can work in every situation, so play them at the family Christmas party, and then at the Ugly Sweater Party with your friends.

Merry Christmas and enjoy!

brought to you by...

here are two songs i heard from commercials that i immediately searched and downloaded

the first is from a stupid jewelry store commercial, the ad itself is cheesy but the song is excellent
Girl Is On My Mind - The Black Keys

the next is from a subaru commercial which is actually pretty cool, and the song totally works with the ad.  it really made me want to listen to more of Sean Hayes' stuff, he reminds me of a mountain version donavon frankenreiter
Powerful Stuff - Sean Hayes
